Update after a long silence

So sorry not to have been in touch for a while: no good excuses, just other things claiming my attention. I have been teaching quite a lot of classes and workshops (and on that front I will tidy up the Workshops page of this site after the New Year, deleting old entries and adding some new ones), been to a few exhibitions (I particularly recommend Anni Albersat Tate Modern) and helped curate an exhibition for the New Embroidery Group at the Constance Howard Gallery, Goldsmiths, University of London.

This exhibition runs for another week until 13 December, Monday to Friday, 11am to 5pm, so if you haven't caught it yet, there is still time. It is a retrospective of the 50 years that the NEG has been in existence. https://www.gold.ac.uk/textile-collection/

I don't have any work in the exhibition myself; I have only been a member of the Group for about 9 years and we wanted to have as much space as possible for older work.

However there are two opportunities this very weekend to see (and buy) my work.

Firstly, at Adult Learning Lewisham at Brockley Rise, this Saturday (8 December) from 10.30am to 3pm, we are having a Textiles Christmas Marketplace in the Gym, where you will be able to see and buy work by some of the ALL textiles tutors and students. After I finish teaching my Hand Stitched Textiles class at 12.30 in the same building, I will be in the Gym and available to talk both about my own work and the classes I am teaching next term for ALL. Do come along and say hello if you are free.

And secondly, the Lovely Gallery Winter Art Fair opens this Saturday too, and goes on until 21 December. I have work here and hope to fit in the "Private View", 4-8 pm, 8 December. It is going to be a busy day but it would be lovely to see you all during it.
